Over the course of my 15+ years working in museums, it’s become painfully clear that the museum field does not currently offer established practices for time management. This includes strategies for managing email, tasks, and meetings — all of which are part of project management. I’m embarking on developing a museum professional operating system that would help develop a field-wide approach to time management, effectively going from feeling chaos to calm.
